2050 Pathways Platform
Richard Baron joined the 2050 Pathways Platform as executive director in July 2017. The Platform gathers countries, local governments and companies keen on developing and sharing experience on their long-term low-carbon development strategies. Prior to this position, Richard was climate policy advisor at the OECD; he co-authored Aligning Policies for a Low-Carbon Economy (2015), and Investing in Climate, Investing in Growth, a report to the German presidency of the G20 (2017). He also managed the Round Table on Sustainable Development, a high-level public-private forum on strategic environmental questions, including the decarbonization of electricity, stranded assets or public procurement for low-carbon innovation. From 1995 to 2013, he worked at IEA on energy and climate policy issues, as well as international climate negotiations and carbon market mechanisms.
