Partnership on Sustainable Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT)
Karl Peet is Research Director for the Partnership on Sustainable Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT). Karl leads research to promote transport in global policies on climate and development. Current projects include creating a global status report on transport and climate change, supporting regional MDBs in implementing transport through global agreements, and advancing rural transport through the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Previously, Karl developed recommendations for the Climate and Environment Services Group-Shanghai to meet sustainable transport demands in China. Prior to that, Karl worked at the Chicago Transit Authority, advancing climate change mitigation and adaptation, BRT planning and implementation, and multimodal and active transport.
Karl holds a Master of Public Policy/Urban Planning from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University.
