Kanika Chawla is a Senior Programme Lead at the CEEW, India. At the CEEW, Ms Chawla manages CEEW’s work on renewable energy policy, finance, and jobs and skills. Her current responsibilities include: analysing financial risks affecting RE investments in India; changing market conditions and tax regimes and their impact on RE;managing CEEW’s periodic surveys on RE jobs; and convening a high-level working group on RE finance.
Prior to her association with CEEW she has worked at the REN 21 Secretariat in Paris. Kanika specializes in international cooperation and sustainable energy policy.
Kanika holds an M.Sc in Economics and Development Economics from the University of Nottingham and an undergraduate honours degree in Economics from Miranda House, University of Delhi. She is fluent in English and Hindi.
