Jules Kortenhorst is the Chief Executive Officer of Rocky Mountain Institute, a leading energy think tank from the USA. He is a recognized leader on global energy issues and climate change. Earlier, Kortenhorst was the founding CEO of the European Climate Foundation (ECF), the largest philanthropic organization for climate change in Europe. Before launching ECF, he served as a member of the Dutch parliament. During the first 20 years of his career, he worked in the business world. He was CEO for International Operations of ClientLogic, a global call center company and worked for 10 years for Royal Dutch / Shell.
Kortenhorst earned an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and a degree in Economics from Erasmus University, the Netherlands.
