Tom Levy is a Senior Wind Engineer with CanmetENERGY-Ottawa. Tom has approximately 15 years of progressive environmental engineering consulting experience, with over 12 years in the wind industry. Tom spent seven years with the Canadian Wind Energy Association as the Director of Technical & Utility Affairs and was the project manager/lead for the Pan-Canadian Wind Integration Study from its inception in July 2009 when he started at CanWEA, through until its (near) completion in February 2016, when he joined NRCan. Tom’s current activities involve grid integration and wind plant forecasting R&D, presently working on continental, regional and utility issues. Tom is a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, holds a Masters of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) and Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) from Carleton University.
